Can you beat this ingenious use of Bookeo’s iCal feed?

Streamlining walk-in bookings 

Here at Bookeo HQ, we like to think we’re pretty savvy when it comes to streamlining bookings.

So we were naturally surprised to learn that our client Segway in Steyr is using Bookeo’s iCal feed in a way that never occurred to us. A truly inspired way.

What are they doing, you ask? The’ve created a super-cool Info Screen using Bookeo’s iCal Feed. It’s on display in their brick & mortar office in the city of Steyr, Austria. Now, anyone who comes in the door instantly sees a list of all upcoming tours, with times, available seats, and guide names.

They’ve even designed it to look just like an airport terminal’s Departures screen!

We’ve known for a long time that all of our clients are uncannily brainy and beautiful too. But why didn’t we think of that?

The best part of Segway in Steyr’s Info Screen is that it speeds their walk-in booking process. When customers walk into their office to see what they do or to make a booking, they immediately see a dynamic, continually updated display of upcoming tour availability.

Segway in Steyr staff no longer have to go through the upcoming schedule with each individual walk-in customer - their Info Screen instantly does it.

Now customers “get it” before they even get to the counter, and can ask for specific tours and times based on what’s shown on the Info Screen. Ingenious!

Segway in Steyr Tours says it’s been so successful that they plan to put it on their site’s home page in the near future. For now, if you’d like to see it live, go see them in Steyr, Austria, and keep an eye on their site at  www.segway-in-steyr.at.

Brand new Bookeo admin mobile interface now live!

We are thrilled to announce our brand new Bookeo admin mobile interface. Thank you all for your patience!

Home page

You can  now access your Bookeo back-end (Home, Calendar and Customers sections) from any smartphone or tablet.

Calendar and Customers page

You can easily navigate the admin interface using the icons in the main blue toolbar, see your bookings, create new bookings, reschedule old bookings and much more!

How does the mobile interface work?

Bookeo will automatically detect the mobile device you are using and will show an interface specifically designed for the device's capabilities and screen size.

You won't have to install a special app and you won't have to install new versions of the mobile interface - we will take care of system upgrades :-)

Where can I download your app?

You don't have to download anything! You can simply visit Bookeo Sign in page signin.bookeo.com from your mobile device and add it to your Home Screen.

How to add the app to your Home screen

For iPad and iPhone

1. In Safari, visit signin.bookeo.com, then touch the action button. This is typically a rectangle with an arrow pointing up

.

2. On the popup menu, click on the Add to Home Screen option.

3. The Bookeo icon will show. Click on the Add button.

4. You’ll return to the home screen, which is now showing the new Bookeo app icon.

For Android tablets and phones

1. Open the browser on your Android smartphone or tablet and go to signin.bookeo.com 

2. Touch the device's menu button – it is located in different positions in different devices, but it is often to the left of the 'Home' button of the device.

3. Click on Add shortcut to home

Stay signed in

To access your calendar without having to enter your username and password every time, consider ticking the checkbox "stay signed in" in the sign in screen. This will keep you signed in for one week.
We recommend that you use this function only on your own device, and only if a screen lock (PIN, gesture, fingerprint, etc) is in place. When you're signed in, you can access your Bookeo account with just one click at any time - just click the Bookeo app icon in your device Home screen.
